Power connector (DC Jack) loose or broken – This is one of the most common repairs we see. When this happens, it may appear that your laptop is dead or your AC adapter is faulty. We can diagnose this issue while you wait and possibly save you a second trip to our facility. This is a fairly routine repair but like most things, it must be done properly to avoid having this problem reoccur. This job requires soldering and must be done on top and bottom of laptop board to ensure proper connector integrity. In most cases the connector must be replaced.
